  • Weekdays: £12.92/hour

About the Role

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Cleaning & Catering Assistants to join the team at Weston General Hospital. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a healthcare environment while helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and patient care.

You’ll play an important role in supporting clinical teams by keeping hospital environments clean, safe, and hygienic while assisting with basic catering services for inpatients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean clinical and non-clinical hospital areas to NHS standards.
  • Maintain a safe, hygienic environment for patients and staff.
  • Serve meals and drinks to hospital patients.
  • Support ward teams with catering duties.
  • Follow NHS infection prevention and cleaning protocols.
  • Deliver excellent patient-focused service.

Available Shifts

  • Monday to Friday: 4:30pm – 7:30pm (15 hours/week)
  • Monday to Friday: 5:00pm – 7:00pm (10 hours/week)
  • Two-week rolling night rota: 21 hours/week
  • Monday to Friday: 1:30pm – 7:30pm (27.5 hours/week)

Essential Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 1 or previous cleaning experience.
  • Previous NHS experience.
